Bay of Panama, Panama City, Part 2

The next morning, March 16th, the Discovery carried us from Taboga back to Panama City.  The traffic in the Gulf of Panama near the Pacific entrance to the Canal was a real bonanza for ship-watchers.

Approaching Flamenco Marina near the end of the causeway.

We stopped for a stroll around the park and museum.

Canal Administration Building.

Fountain honoring George Goethals.

Names of the three locks.

William B. Van Ingen's murals in the inner rotunda: Gatun Dam construction.

Culebra Cut.

Miraflores Locks.

Lock gate construction.

A stop for some of that famous Panamanian coffee (and chocolate).

Ride on Metro de Panama.

Reprosa Jewelry Workshop.  The next day, March 17th, we returned home to Minneapolis.
